Welcome to the 20-21 School Year at NorthStar Academy!

This is our 23rd year providing online education for students all over the world. It has been so fun serving with NSA for 12 of those 23 school years. It is my joy to serve as Director this year.

We have a unique theme that God has placed on our hearts for 20-21. We selected this theme not knowing what 2020 would bring. I am excited to introduce it to you:

Your faculty and staff at NorthStar are encouraging one another to continually abide with Jesus. Some synonyms of abide are dwell, remain, stay, tarry, and hang around. Who do you hang around with on a regular basis? Where do you often dwell? Where is your attention directed? At NorthStar, we know it is only by remaining in Jesus that anything good will come from us.  What does it practically look like to daily abide in Jesus?

  • Waking up and praising Jesus for His grace and mercy that there is another day to hang out with Him and live out loud for Him. 

  • Spending time in His word listening for Him to speak. 

  • Beginning the day singing along to worshipful music that gives all praise and glory to Jesus! 

  • Pressing into Him with trust when things are tough, and we are out of our comfort zone. 

  • Knowing He is in control and has us. 

  • Bringing thoughts to Jesus when they do not line up with His word. 

  • Praying for others and with others. 

  • Thanking God for the blessings of each day. 

  • Finishing the day off knowing that eternity is forever, and we will one day be with Him. 

As we abide, we behold His Glory. We get to see His marvelous creation and works all around us.

Please join us as we give God this school year. Let us look to Him together and make ourselves available to be used by Him. Who needs an encouraging word around you? Who needs connection? As we reach out and share what we learn from abiding, we are glorifying God by pointing someone else to Him.
